The wearing of masks will be mandatory inside of the Legion. The Town of Mahone Bay will raise the Grand Council Flag of the Mi'kmaq Nation on the Community Flag pole, at the Michael O'Connor Memorial Bandstand, on Thursday, September 30th at 8:30am in recognition of Truth and Reconciliation Day.
In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Town of Mahone Bay TAKE NOTICE THAT on July 13, 2021, the Council of the Town of Mahone Bay received a request to enter into a Development Agreement with M.A.D.E. for Mahone Bay, owner of 66 Clairmont Street and the property immediately east and adjacent to 66 Clairmont Street (PID 60374063 & 60634151).
The regular Council meeting of September 30, 2021 has been rescheduled to Monday, September 27th in observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day. Truth and Reconciliation Day will be observed annually in Nova Scotia on September 30th, starting in 2021. On September 29, 2021, Cherry Lane is going to become a one-way street. Traffic will enter Cherry Lane from Main Street (across from 466 Main Street) and exit at the intersection of Parish and Orchard Streets. This change is a recommendation from the 2020 Transportation Plan Report to improve safety for residents and motorists. Local emergency services have been advised of the upcoming change and we are looking forward to this being a positive change for Mahone Bay.
Motorists will experience traffic delays at Kedy's Bridge on Monday, September 13, 2021. Traffic services will be on site to assist with traffic control while Town crews remove a large dead tree which has become a safety issue. Work will begin around 9am and is expected to last a few hours. September 7th starting at 7am
Due to the extreme heat forecast this weekend, we will be postponing Bike Day in Mahone Bay to our rain date of August 21st!

On August 14th, meet us at Jubilee Park at 9:30am, where there will be a safety talk followed by a guided bike ride through Mahone Bay's streets and trails! After the ride, there will be snacks, info tables, and e-bike test rides available in the park! 9:30am: Bike safety lesson & registration at Jubilee Park (if you do not register online, please arrive early) 10:00am: Guided bike ride through town: 5k loop + additional 4k loop option (led by Bicycle Nova Scotia) 10:30am - 12:00pm: Snacks, info tables and e-bike test rides Come discover the great biking Mahone Bay has to offer and have an opportunity to weigh in on where Mahone Bay should propose a bikeway!
