Crews have found the cause of the outage and are currently working on the repair. The estimated restoration time is 9:30pm. We are aware of the power outage that is currently effecting parts of Mahone Bay and Maders Cove. Electric Utility staff are aware and are currently investigating the cause of the outage. The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board will be holding a virtual public hearing on April 14, 2023 concerning the Town of Mahone Bay's application to the Board to confirm the number of councillors for the Town. There is the potential for a brief power outage effecting the entire Town this afternoon for NSPI to make emergency repairs at the sub-station. We will provide an update once details of this outage have been confirmed.
