Join us for a Tree ID walk, this Wednesday, September 13th at 3pm. We will be meeting at Town Hall and then walking along Main Street. Help us identify our street trees and collect important data on them. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring your phone if you wish to help add data to our interactive Tree Map. This walk will last no longer than 2 hours, feel free to stay for however long you wish.
These walks will take place every Wednesday at 3pm for the months of September and October. Meeting locations and the area we cover will change week to week. We are aware of a power outage affecting the entire western grid. Crews are on site and working to fix the problem.
Estimated restoration time is currently 2:30pm. Thank you for your patience Mahone Bay! Pleasant will be closed from Fairmont Street to School Street, except to local traffic, tomorrow August 31st to Friday September 1st, from 9am - 5pm each day.
This is necessary so that crews can remove a large, dead elm tree. Please be advised that Town Hall will be closed on Monday August 14th, 2023 for Staff Appreciation Day.

Tree Tour of Mahone Bay, meet at Jubilee Park Entrance – 10am Friday, August 11th (Rain Day: Saturday, August 12th ) This event will feature a walking tour of the native trees here in Mahone Bay using our Tree Inventory Map. Bring a mobile device, walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and water. This is a great opportunity to practice your tree identification skills, meet other tree enthusiasts, appreciate our natural assets, and learn about the Town’s plans to conserve our canopy! We will walk to Bayview Cemetery while highlighting the benefits of the urban forest. Urban Forest Engagement Session, in Fire Hall Community Room – 7pm Wednesday, August 16th This evening event will outline the progress made in mapping the urban forest using our new map. Learn about local natural assets, asset management, and our plans to develop an Urban Forest Management Plan! We will also have a Q&A session on how residents can get involved with data collection.
