Bayview Cemetery Records

How to Access the Cemetery Mapping Application

Start by clicking on the map to the right, then choose one of the three following search options:

  1. Type in the name of the person you are looking for in the search bar located at the top of the website page.  You do not need to enter a full name, you can search by first or last name or even a partial name
  2. If you know the stone number, from a previous search or from the database found on the Town of Mahone Bay’s website, you can enter this number in the search bar.
  3. Search stone by stone directly on the map.  Click on any stone site and information on the person(s) buried there will automatically pop up.

Once you have found the record you are looking for, click on the “Plot Listing” at the bottom of the pop-up screen and you will be taken to a list of every person listed on the stone.  Click on the record you want to learn more about and you will be forwarded to stone information for that person.  Please note that at the bottom of this pop-up screen you will find a list of attachments - click on the attachment you would like to view.

How to use the Database

By clicking on the spreadsheet image to the right you can open the file or you can choose to save it to your own computer to retain a copy for your records. The database can also be printed if you would like a hard copy.

The database spreadsheet will provide you with all the information found on the website, except stone inscriptions and photos.  There are columns for Stone #, Surname, Given Name, Family Relationship, Date of Birth and Date of Death. There is also a Microsoft Excel version of the spreadsheet.
